Shop Supervisor - Steel Fabrication Job A long-established leader in the steel fabrication and metals industry is seeking an experienced Shop Supervisor to lead daily fabrication operations. This company is known for its commitment to quality, safety, innovation, and manufacturing excellence while serving customers across construction, transportation, energy, heavy equipment, government, and industrial markets. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily shop-floor fabrication activities. Lead, train, and develop welders, fabricators, machine operators, and production employees. Assign work and prioritize jobs to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines. Monitor productivity, quality, workmanship, and safety. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications. Coordinate with engineering, project management, quality, and production planning. Troubleshoot production issues and help keep projects moving efficiently. Ensure employees follow established safety procedures and company standards. Support continuous improvement efforts throughout shop operations. Qualifications Supervisory or lead experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, welding, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing . Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding processes. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Proven ability to lead and develop shop-floor employees. Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
