Job Description

Mount Pleasant Correctional Facilities' mission is Helping People Become Their Best. To accomplish our mission, the person selected for this position shall be able to demonstrate emotional intelligence, leadership, adaptability and empathy while working with employees, incarcerated individuals and the public. MPCF is looking to hire a full-time Storekeeper 3. This person will manage the day to day operations of the storeroom/warehouse for all MPCF inventory items. Typical responsibilities of a Storekeeper 3: Receive all shipments coming into the facility and verify them for accuracy. Organize and assemble the daily food delivery needed to feed the institution. Coordinate and deliver all supplies to various departments within the institution. Keep accurate records of all inventory, receiving, and distribution of items. Manage the warehouse/storeroom to keep all operations efficient, neat and orderly. Competencies Required for a Storekeeper 3: This is a physically challenging job that requires lifting, pushing and pulling various sizes of boxes and containers. Applicants must be able to continually walk the warehouse floor as well as making multiple trips in and out of a delivery truck. Must be able to drive a state-owned vehicle and operate a forklift. Must be able to manage time and work independently to get a job done. Must be willing to go inside a prison for deliveries on a daily basis.
