Immediately About Vape Kastle Vape Kastle Boise is looking for a motivated, dependable, and sales-driven Assistant Store Manager to join our team! We're looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and has the leadership skills to help maintain a successful retail environment. As our Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the General Manager to support daily store operations, lead by example on the sales floor, and help create a positive experience for both customers and employees. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is confident in retail sales, comfortable supervising a team, and capable of keeping the store running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Experience Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming shopping environment. Actively engage with customers, provide product information, and recommend products based on customer needs. Lead by example by demonstrating strong sales techniques and product knowledge. Support store sales goals and monitor key performance indicators. Professionally resolve customer concerns, returns, and escalations within company guidelines. Team Leadership Support the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations. Supervise employees, delegate responsibilities, and maintain productivity. Assist with onboarding, training, and developing team members. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve employee performance. Participate in interviewing and hiring processes. Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage. Maintain a positive, professional, and accountable team environment. Store Operations Complete opening and closing procedures. Receive merchandise, organize stock, and maintain accurate inventory. Conduct inventory counts and help investigate discrepancies. Maintain attractive, organized merchandise displays and a clean sales floor. Process transactions and assist with product, pricing, and inventory maintenance using Clover POS. Complete cash reconciliation, prepare deposits, and identify register discrepancies. Follow and enforce company policies, age-verification procedures, and applicable tobacco retail regulations. Maintain store standards and communicate operational concerns to the General Manager. The Assistant Store Manager is expected to manage routine daily operations and provide leadership during assigned shifts while working within company policies and the General Manager's direction. Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of previous retail management or supervisory experience. Proven retail sales and customer service experience. High school diploma or GED. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to supervise employees and manage multiple responsibilities. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently. Ability to work both opening and closing shifts. Availability on Saturdays and Sundays is required. Flexibility to assist with unexpected shift coverage when reasonably available. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to successfully complete a job-related pre-employment background check, conducted in accordance with applicable law. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in vape, tobacco, or specialty retail. Familiarity with vaping products, accessories, and industry terminology. Experience with Clover or similar point-of-sale systems. Experience with inventory management, cash handling, and merchandising. Experience training or coaching retail employees. Previous vape industry experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to provide product and systems training to the right candidate. Scheduling Expectations This position requires flexibility to support the needs of a retail business. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays, as well as a combination of opening and closing shifts. Weekly schedules may vary based on business needs. The Assistant Store Manager may occasionally be asked to assist with unexpected employee absences or shift coverage. Overtime is expected to be rare and must be approved in advance.
