Job Summary:
We're looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our leadership track as an Assistant Store Manager. You'll be right in the action, learning store operations, supporting the Store Manager, and setting the tone for our team and customers. We are a team!
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Store Manager with inventory management, ordering, scheduling, daily deposits, reporting and supervising the team. Train and develop new and current team members to meet performance expectations and take pride in their work. Proactively suggest additional items, promotions, and deals to customers to enhance their shopping experience. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of both the inside and outside of the store, including pumps, coolers, and surrounding areas. Troubleshoot issues, respond to unexpected challenges, and ensure the store runs smoothly. In the absence of the manager, handle emergency situations. Monitor performance and actively contribute to driving key results, including sales growth and margin improvement. Provide exceptional customer service, maintain cleanliness, and set a positive example for the team with a friendly attitude. Operate the cash register and assist customers efficiently.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Leadership and supervising experience required, preferably in a food or customer service position. Prior experience in retail, food service, or customer service required. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, team members, and management. Demonstrates approachable and professional demeanor at all times, ensuring positive customer experiences and fostering a collaborative team environment. Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. High integrity and accountability—you do the right thing, even when no one's watching.
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift and move up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks like crouching and bending Comfortable working in varied conditions, including cooler/freezer restocking, outdoor weather, moderate noise, and typical fuel or cleaning product odors (all within OSHA-compliant environments)
Schedule:
Full-time (typically 30-40 hours/week) Must be able to work a mix of opening, mid, and closing shifts as needed
Benefits:
