Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead engineering operations while ensuring alignment with company goals, production objectives, quality standards, and safety initiatives. Knowledge, skills, ability, and experience talking with customers over concerns, addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner. Plan and establish CNC/engineering projects. Manage personnel records such as time and performance records. Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules. Oversee employee training in effective process engineering practices, equipment operations, and work and safety procedures. Seek best manufacturing processes to create and sustain a culture that is based on continuous improvement. Plan, develop and implement strategy for engineering management and development. Work with department managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs of engineering/technical development, and to ensure they are fully informed of engineering objectives, purposes, and achievements. Communicate with customers by phone, email, or in-person to resolve engineering issues. Support the Operations Manager through cycle time estimations.Qualifications:
- 6+ years of CNC manufacturing experience required
- Strong background CNC/tooling technology, machining operations, and manufacturing process improvement
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing, and precision measuring instruments
- Previous leadership, employee development, and CNC/project management experience preferred
