Duties Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service. Manage day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system oversight. Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, ordering, purchasing, and inventory control to minimize shrinkage. Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to ensure a high-performing team aligned with company standards. Implement merchandising strategies and visual displays to maximize sales opportunities and maintain an attractive store environment. Handle employee scheduling, payroll processing, and manage labor costs effectively through shift management. Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage budgets, and perform retail math calculations for pricing and sales analysis. Foster excellent communication with staff and customers while promoting a positive shopping experience. Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and training & development initiatives to enhance team skills. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures. Qualifications Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer bases. Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, purchasing, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math. Experience with employee orientation, interviewing candidates, recruiting new staff members, and training & development programs. Knowledge of retail sales techniques including merchandising, pricing strategies, marketing initiatives, and sales management. Proficiency in bookkeeping, payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative tasks related to store operations. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across various responsibilities such as stock stocking and shift management.
