Dermatology Billing Manager/Biller -

Join our high-volume, well-established dermatology practice as we seek a seasoned and talented Dermatology Billing Manager. With a foundation built on professionalism and a forward-thinking approach, we utilize the latest in EMR technology, transitioning from EMA/Advanced MD to EMA PM. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage billing workflow, establishing key metrics for success and driving continuous improvements. Function in a player/manager role, actively participating in daily billing operations. Ensure accurate daily claim billing and auditing, alongside efficient posting of insurance payments (electronic and paper). Address and resolve claim edits/exclusions, demonstrating a thorough understanding of billing guidelines and payor requirements. Handle prior authorization processes and follow up on unpaid claims to secure prompt payment. Utilize insurance appeal experience and manage patient statements, collections, refunds, and account receivables. Engage directly with patients to resolve questions related to balances and insurance issues. Spearhead billing training for front desk and call center staff, ensuring high departmental productivity and quality standards are met. Execute additional duties as requested by Management.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of experience in rigorous medical billing, with a preference for candidates holding dermatology billing and coding experience or familiarity with EMA. Proven ability to manage and improve billing processes and workflows.
