The MIT completes a structured training program, mastering day-to-day operations, people leadership, merchandising, foodservice standards, and compliance. Upon successful completion, the MIT is placed as a Store Manager at an assigned location. Key Responsibilities Learn and execute all daily store operations: cash handling, deposits, shift checklists, fuel monitoring, price changes, vendor check-in, and inventory counts. Maintain brand standards for cleanliness, food safety, merchandising, and overall facility appearance. Promotes store sales and selling initiatives and encourages the team to strive to reach goals/objectives. Provides suggestions for improving sales, margins, and execution of all programs. Train, coach, and hold team members accountable to service, safety and productivity standards; recognize performance and document corrective actions when necessary. Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, rotation, and shrink control across c-store and foodservice. Ensure compliance with all laws and policies: alcohol/tobacco age verification, lottery, food safety, fuel safety, OSHA, and money-handling. Helps perform and supervise all minor maintenance tasks. Supports procedures for additional repairs and maintains work orders. Learn to read and act on store P&L drivers: sales, margin, labor, shrink, waste, and controllables. Learn scheduling to service demand while meeting labor targets; provide daily direction and shift coverage as needed. Ensures that all necessary store reports and paperwork are completed accurately and in a timely fashion. Performs hands-on work across all roles (register, foodservice, cleaning, stocking) to support the team and meet business needs. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe work environment built on teamwork and integrity. Additional duties as assigned to support store and company objectives. Qualifications Required 7+ years of retail, restaurant, or convenience/gas experience with supervisory responsibilities; or equivalent leadership experience. Strong customer service mindset and communication skills. Basic proficiency with POS and common office applications; comfortable learning new systems. Must have flexibility to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as business requires Travel to training sites and meetings as needed Preferred Convenience/gas and/or foodservice experience. Experience with cash handling, deposits, inventory, and vendor relations.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for entire shift Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler Compensation and Benefits Exempt position. Starting rate $65,000-$70,000 with quarterly bonus eligibility Eligible benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), and employee discounts.
