Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Retail Shift Manager to join our team and drive excellence across our supply chain and logistics functions. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of retail and restaurant operations, inventory control, and process improvements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence operational efficiency, optimize resources, and contribute to our company's growth in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about customer service processes to deliver outstanding results. Duties Assist in managing daily warehouse operations including inventory management, materials handling, and or Support transportation management activities such as freight coordination, fleet management, dispatching, and transportation planning to optimize delivery schedules. Oversee procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, pricing negotiations, and category management to maintain cost-effective supply chain practices. Implement process improvements by analyzing supply chain data using tools like supply chain analytics and ERP systems to identify efficiencies. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and freight carriers to ensure smooth shipping & receiving operations. Monitor inventory levels through inventory control systems like Warehouse Management System (WMS), AS400, or CMMS to prevent stock discrepancies. Lead efforts in demand planning, demand forecasting, and inventory distribution strategies aligned with e-commerce trends and customer expectations. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to materials handling equipment such as forklifts and adherence to warehouse safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, and logistics optimization. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms like AS400 or SAP, and transportation management systems (TMS). Excellent data analysis skills for interpreting supply chain metrics and implementing process improvements. Experience with freight forwarding, shipping & receiving procedures, packaging standards, and materials handling techniques. Ability to coordinate multiple functions such as demand planning, category management, dispatching, and order fulfillment seamlessly. Familiarity with warehouse experience including forklift operation certification is preferred. Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners like 3PL providers or carriers.
