A Retail Associate Manager assists the manager at a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.
We are looking for a customer focused, results driven assistant store manager to be responsible for the overall store operations. The assistant store manager is responsible for overseeing aspects of customer service, retail operations, and employee management. The successful manager will be able to enhance customer satisfaction and manage staff effectively. The assistant store manager is responsible for ensuring the staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the upkeep of the store. Must be open to a flexible schedule in a retail environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for their own personal excellent customer service and the excellent customer service of the entire staff Oversee staffing requirements and training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to store staff Oversee daily operational needs, goals, and development of the store by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and procedures to ensure compliance. Maintain outstanding store conditions and merchandising standards Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, etc to determine the need for improvements in the store Propose innovative ideas to increase market share, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability Address issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances, etc) to maintain the store's reputation Address additional store manager duties as needed
SKILLS REQUIRED
A friendly, positive, customer focused attitude is a must Proven successful experience as a retail manager Knowledge of retail management best practices Strong understanding of sales and customer service techniques Demonstrated ability to maintain and work within a budget Powerful leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to work flexible hours and multitask in a retail environment Good computer database and productivity software skills Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Market/Industry knowledge is a plus Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift up to 50lbs Apply by completing a paper application, avaliable at Juergens Hardware 2850
