QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
High school education, twoyears ofcollegeorthe equivalent. Three to five years upper management experience Must have full knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting tomaintainsales records and reportsincidental to storeoperations. Must be a person with excellent character referencesand a well-developed sense of responsibility. A valid driver's license and insurability isrequired. Must have a telephone andmaintainit in operating order withinthe telephonecompany's maintenance capabilities. Must pass/complete background check.

JOB COMPETENCIES
Serves as Hiring Manager; Completes employee work schedules, evaluations, ADP and handles customer complaints. Oversee store operations including inventory, warehouse and stock rotation. Performs all administrative and clerical details associated with store operation and orders supplies as needed. Provides supervision for all associates, trains employees and follows cash handling procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must completeemployees'work schedules. They must complete employee evaluations as needed. They also counsel, hire,terminate, and train employees. Responsible formaintainingADP. Maintains store premises and grounds in a clean, neat condition. Reportsneedrepairs andrecommendreplacementsas necessary. Assures that the appearance of the store and premisesis creditable at all times. Holds fire drills, tornado drills, and instructs workers in fire prevention and safety practices. Supervises the sales force and processing areas where applicable.
Sellmerchandise as timepermits. Attendsto andsatisfycustomers'needs. Handles customer complaints in a fair and impartial manner,coordinatingas necessary. Promotesspecial events. Keeps new merchandise area stocked, inventoried, and marked. Checks condition and placement of stock in a clean, neat, and orderly condition. Rotates stock and marks down pricesin accordance withstore procedure. Suggests andmaintainsdisplays and prepares and places signs in sales areas and windows. Trains and supervises store personnel in sales techniques. Holds monthly sales meetings and assemblies for training, morale purposes, and for relation information about the organization and the overall Goodwill program. Minutes from meeting to go to District Manager and Vice President of Operations. Performs administrative and clerical details of store operation, suchas;preparing stock requests, ordering forms,bagsand other supplies, receiving, and disposing of mail, handling cash as directed by current procedures, etc. Safeguards the premises and material under his or her care at all times.
Seeksto reduce the possibility of pilferage or burglary. Constantly watches for fire hazards and unsafe conditions. Maintain records of store operations asrequired. Reviews and analyzes sales todetermineeffectiveness of methods used and adequacy of prices. Make recommendations to District Manager and Vice President of Operations/Sales. Must be able to count allmonies ofdeposits for store operations. Mustbe able tomake bankdeposits withyour owntransportation daily.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday. Greetscustomers. When working with monies, safe and monies must be locked up at all times. Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records. Adhere to all safety policies andreportsviolations. Support missionstatementand activities of other departments. Must be able tolift upto 50 lbs. RepresentsGoodwill in the area served, striving to enhance the Goodwill image through individual and group participation. May supervise solicitors and pick-up orders, including routing as authorized. Responsible for safety and well-being for all employees and clients. Mustwork at least two nights per week. Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation,employmentand other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment. Follows program plan in work assignments. Trains them in overall store operation. Represents management to them. Advises and counsels them as required. Is fair and impartial in his/her relations with them. Relations with
Store Customers:
Is uniformly courteous to them. Listens to any complaints and attempts to adjust within policy to the satisfaction of the customer when merchandise is defective. Uses good judgment and does not hesitate to take responsibility. Stresses courtesy and enthusiasm to the public by all store workers. Relations with
District Manager and Vice President of Operations:
Keeps him/her informed of significant events. Recommends changes in policies and procedures based on store operations. Is particularly sensitive to management requests and adheres to deadlines and due dates.
NOTE:
Must have a telephone and maintain it in operating order within the telephone company's maintenance capabilities. Must pass/complete background check. Must be a licensed driver-must be insurable. Must be bondable.
