A Department Manager manages a department in a large retail store. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

Compensation:
The starting pay rate for this position is $27.25 per hour . Compensation for this role is established through Pella Corporation's internship program. Eligible participants may receive transition assistance in accordance with company policies and program guidelines. Department Manager Interns:
Manage factory team members. Responsibilities regarding safety, quality, and productivity. Maintain budget for labor efficiencies in department. Continuous improvement (CI) - (Kaizen, Lean Mfg.). Reward and hold team members accountable. Department Manager Interns will experience the following: Learning and applying continuous improvement (CI) (Kaizen, Lean Mfg.) principles through projects and teams. Working side by side with Department Managers.
