In this pivotal role, you will support store operations, lead sales initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive team performance, manage daily store activities, and foster a positive shopping environment. Duties Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations, including sales, inventory control, and staff scheduling Supervise and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service Handle employee orientation, training & development to ensure team members are well-equipped and engaged Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently Conduct interviewing and recruiting efforts to build a talented and diverse team Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to optimize sales opportunities Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory management, and reporting purposes Support shift management duties by coordinating schedules and ensuring smooth store functions Requirements Proven experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory role within retail or grocery environments Strong management skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities in team supervision and development Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued Proficiency in retail math, budgeting, and retail management software including POS systems Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and store operations Experience with cashiering, cash handling, payroll processing, and bookkeeping practices Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management Customer service excellence with phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus; previous assistant manager experience is preferred Join us if you're ready to lead with energy, inspire your team, and make a meaningful impact in the retail space.
