The Team Lead assists with the day-to-day operations of the dispensary (retail store) and provides support for the store management team. This position is responsible for maintaining high quality customer service while ensuring compliance to all applicable regulations and company standards. The Team Lead will set the standard for performance and keeping associates motivated. The role requires excellent leadership qualities and an understanding of dispensary inventory and products.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support the Sales Associate team to deliver legendary service.
- Maintain store compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
- Helping educate all team members on product offerings and any changes in state or city regulations.
- Balancing cash and product inventory as part of daily closing procedure.
- Oversee security measures and safety compliance.
- Assist in verifying order deliveries for accuracy.
- Managing cash handling procedures and record keeping while ensuring accuracy of all transactions, deposits and records.
- Assist with required paperwork and state tracking system recording.
- Responsible for either opening or closing of dispensary (key holder).
- Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during scheduled shift.
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other coworkers.
- Work with the management team to onboard and train new Sales Associates.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory levels as well as keeping track of expiring products and promoting sales as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized store.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Inspire retail staff to deliver legendary customer service.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products and strains in the store, as well as industry-wide product knowledge.
- Accurate use and maintenance of the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Participating in weekly and quarterly management meetings.
- Provide customer issue resolution.
- Assist customers in making the right product choices by developing and maintaining product knowledge and how different methods of consumption affect our customers.

- Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and excellent Excel skills and the ability to analyze and interpret sales data.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail leadership role.
- Experience managing cannabis retail sales highly desirable.
- Experience working in the cannabis industry highly desirable.
- Experience with METRC highly desirable.
- Experience with Point-Of-Sale system Dutchie highly desirable.
- Experience working in retail, services or pharmaceutical experience highly desirable.
- Action-oriented and solution driven with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in retail and customer service experience highly desirable.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in professional and life experience.
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Self-driven
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand for up to six (6) hours at a time
- Walk frequently
- Reach and twist/turn with hands and arms
- Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus
COMPENSATION
- Starting FTE base salary of $20 per hour.
