Coffee Shop Manager - Job Summary The Coffee Shop Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business and ensuring the coffee shop runs efficiently, professionally, and profitably. The manager supervises employees, prepares work schedules, trains staff, and ensures excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include opening and closing the business, managing employees, handling customer concerns, monitoring sales, managing cash registers, ordering inventory, checking deliveries, and controlling food and supply costs . The manager ensures coffee, food, and beverages are prepared consistently and according to quality and safety standards. The manager is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, and proper equipment operation. They monitor inventory, reduce waste, check expiration dates, and make sure necessary supplies are available. In addition, the manager helps increase sales and profitability by promoting products, maintaining good relationships with customers, improving service, and identifying opportunities to grow the business. The manager should regularly communicate with the owner regarding sales, staffing, inventory, expenses, maintenance, customer feedback, and any operational issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Opening and/or closing the store as required. Hiring, training, supervising and developing employees. Preparing employee schedules and maintaining appropriate staffing levels. Managing employee attendance, punctuality and performance. Providing excellent customer service and resolving customer concerns. Maintaining Honey Dew's operational, product-quality and customer-service standards. Monitoring food preparation, product quality and proper portioning. Managing inventory and placing orders as needed. Controlling food, beverage and paper-product waste. Monitoring labor costs and avoiding unnecessary overtime. Maintaining store cleanliness and organization. Ensuring food-safety, sanitation and workplace-safety procedures are followed. Managing cash-handling procedures, register accountability and deposits. Helping develop local marketing ideas and promotions. Building relationships with customers and encouraging repeat business. Working with ownership to increase store sales and profitability. Reporting significant operational, staffing, maintenance or customer issues to ownership. Taking overall ownership and responsibility for the successful daily operation of the store Salary The manager will receive a fixed salary of $800 per week, plus tips . Based on job performance, responsibilities, and overall business results, the manager will be eligible for year-to-year salary increases .
