We're looking for an energetic Assistant Showroom Manager to assist with leading our Harwich showroom and create an outstanding experience for both customers and employees while delivering strong sales and operational results. About the Role As the Assistant Showroom Manager, you will assist in driving sales, profitability, operational excellence, and team performance. You will lead by example, fostering a customer-first culture while ensuring company standards, policies, and procedures are consistently executed. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building business relationships, and is passionate about coaching others to reach their full potential. What You'll Do Drive Sales & Business Growth Lead and inspire the showroom team to achieve and exceed sales goals. Build and grow relationships with designers, architects, builders, contractors, landscapers, and homeowners. Prospect and develop new business opportunities through networking, industry associations, trade shows, and community involvement. Collaborate with leadership to create and host engaging showroom events that showcase products and generate new business. Follow up on customer sales, open orders, and ongoing project opportunities to ensure exceptional service and maximize closing rates. Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience Create a welcoming showroom environment where customers receive knowledgeable, professional, and personalized service. Ensure every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively. Develop best practices that enhance the customer journey and drive loyalty. Lead, Coach & Develop a High-Performing Team Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and development of showroom associates. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Promote employee engagement, retention, and professional growth. Showroom Operations Ensure showroom merchandising, displays, signage, and product presentations are maintained to company standards. Highlight new products and maintain a fresh, engaging showroom environment both inside and outside. Assist with scheduling, payroll management, timecard approvals, and staffing needs. Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and banking responsibilities. Monitor inventory shrinkage and controllable expenses. Enforce company policies, procedures, and operational best practices. What We're Looking For Proven success in retail, showroom, sales, or customer-focused management.
