In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional patient and customer experiences, and manage a team of optical staff. Your leadership will drive sales, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and uphold the highest standards of optical care. Duties Supervise the optical department's daily operations, including patient consultations, product displays, and inventory management Lead and motivate optical staff to achieve sales goals while providing excellent customer service Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records and patient information Oversee laboratory activities such as lens fitting, adjustments, and quality control to ensure optimal optical solutions Collaborate with ophthalmology professionals to coordinate patient care, including understanding medical terminology and anatomy relevant to eye health Manage retail sales processes using retail math skills to meet targets while maintaining accurate medical billing and coding procedures Maintain detailed records of vital signs, medical history, and clinic notes within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Epic or similar platforms Experience Proven experience in optical retail management or clinic supervision with a strong understanding of optical products and services Knowledge of ophthalmology practices, laboratory procedures, and anatomy related to eye health Familiarity with EMR systems such as Nextech or other electronic health record platforms Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Background in pediatrics or senior care settings is preferred for serving diverse patient populations Strong understanding of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medical billing, and coding practices Previous experience in retail sales combined with retail math proficiency to drive business growth effectively Join us as an Optical Manager where your leadership will inspire teams, elevate patient care standards, and contribute to a vibrant community dedicated to eye health excellence!
