This is more than a traditional store manager position. We're looking for someone who can lead a team, build lasting customer relationships, create a strong in-store culture, and help make the shop a true hub for the local ski and cycling community. The right person will be comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of the store while also thinking about the bigger picture: how we improve the customer experience, develop our employees, strengthen our reputation in the community, and continue growing the business. What You'll Be Responsible For Lead the day-to-day operations of the store and ensure the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and professionally. Hire, train, develop, and manage a knowledgeable and motivated sales team. Create a positive work environment with clear expectations, accountability, and strong communication. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, from first-time riders and skiers to longtime enthusiasts. Help establish the store as a community hub through events, rides, partnerships, clinics, and strong relationships within the local ski and cycling communities. Deliver a consistently high level of customer service and ensure the same standard is carried throughout the team. Drive sales while maintaining the consultative, service-driven approach expected from a premium specialty retailer. Oversee merchandising, store presentation, inventory organization, opening and closing procedures, and other daily operational responsibilities. Work closely with the service department to ensure strong communication between sales, service, and customers. Help identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer retention, employee development, and overall operations. Maintain a strong understanding of the products, brands, technology, and trends within both the ski and cycling industries. Be present and engaged on the sales floor. This is a hands-on leadership position, not an office-only management role. Who We're Looking For Management experience is required. We are looking for someone who has successfully led people, managed expectations, solved problems, and taken responsibility for the performance of a retail operation. Experience in both the ski and bicycle industries is also required. You do not need to know every specification of every product, but you should have a strong working knowledge of the industries and a genuine enthusiasm for the products and activities we sell. Most importantly, you should be someone who is passionate about skiing, cycling, specialty retail, and the community surrounding them.
