In this role, you will be the driving force behind our strategic goals and daily operational excellence on the sales floor. You aren't just managing; you are building sales, mentoring staff, and ensuring every DIYer and contractor leaves with the exact tools and paint expertise they need for their project. Core Responsibilities Operational Leadership:

Direct overall daily operations, opening/closing procedures, and store profitability while establishing strategies to meet and exceed performance targets.

Team Leadership & Development:

Hire, supervise, and train the management team and Sales Associates in product knowledge, customer service standards, and specialized tasks like paint color matching and tinting.

Expert Customer Service:

Model exceptional service and directly resolve complex customer or contractor inquiries with professionalism to maintain a loyal clientele.

Inventory & Merchandising:

Maintain ultimate accountability for stock levels, shrink management, purchasing, and maintaining an organized, well-merchandised sales floor.

Technical Proficiency:

Oversee the operation and routine maintenance of paint tinting systems, color-matching tech, POS software, and hardware machinery.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce store policies, workplace safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and maintain a clean, safe environment for staff and shoppers.

Qualifications Proven Management Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years in a retail leadership or store management role, ideally in hardware, home improvement, or paint sales.

Retail & Business Acumen:

Strong background in full store operations, staff scheduling, P&L management, and driving revenue.

Technical & Product Adaptability:

Deep interest or experience in learning complex retail systems and product lines, from paint chemistry to hardware specifications.

Communication:

Sharp verbal and written communication skills for building relationships with trade contractors, DIY customers, and staff.

Problem-Solving & Agility:

The ability to make executive decisions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.

Note:

Direct experience in the painting, contracting, or hardware industry is highly preferred, but exceptional leadership fundamentals and a strong track record of store management will also be strongly considered.
