POSITION SUMMARY
Pillars Construction LLC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lowe's Department Supervisor - Kitchen Remodeling Division to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our kitchen remodeling department. This position is responsible for managing the kitchen remodeling sales and project workflow, supporting team members, maintaining strong relationships with Lowe's and customers, reviewing estimates and project scopes, coordinating purchasing and materials, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to Pillars Construction's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in kitchen remodeling, residential construction, home improvement, or retail project management , along with strong leadership, communication, organizational, sales, and problem-solving skills. The Department Supervisor will serve as a key connection between Lowe's, customers, sales/design staff, estimators, project managers, installers, subcontractors, vendors, and Pillars Construction management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1.
Department Leadership & Team Management Lead, supervise, and support the Lowe's Kitchen Remodeling sales and project team. Establish clear expectations, goals, performance standards, and accountability for department employees. Monitor individual and department performance and take appropriate corrective action when necessary. Conduct regular team meetings to review sales, project status, customer concerns, operational issues, and upcoming priorities. Motivate and develop team members through coaching, training, feedback, and professional development. Assist management with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and evaluating department employees. Promote a professional, respectful, customer-focused, and results-driven team culture. 2. Sales & Customer Experience Lead the kitchen remodeling sales team in achieving established sales and production goals. Monitor leads, appointments, estimates, sold projects, cancellations, and customer conversion rates. Ensure customers receive professional, timely, and accurate communication throughout the remodeling process. Support sales staff with complex customer situations, pricing questions, design challenges, and project concerns. Assist with resolving customer complaints and conflicts in a professional and timely manner. Maintain strong customer relationships and promote a high level of customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities to improve sales performance, customer retention, referrals, and overall department growth. 3. Estimating, Pricing & Project Scope Review and approve estimates, proposals, and quotes before submission when required. Verify that project scopes accurately reflect customer selections, site conditions, labor requirements, materials, and installation requirements. Review project pricing for accuracy, profitability, and compliance with company standards. Identify potential scope gaps, exclusions, change orders, and project risks before work begins. Coordinate with estimators, designers, sales staff, and project managers to resolve discrepancies. Ensure approved project documentation is complete and accurately reflects the customer's agreed scope of work. 4. Project Coordination & Scheduling Coordinate with project managers, installers, subcontractors, vendors, and Lowe's personnel to support successful project execution. Monitor project schedules and ensure work progresses according to established timelines. Identify scheduling conflicts, material delays, installation issues, and other potential project obstacles. Assist in developing solutions to keep projects moving while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction. Monitor projects from the initial sale through completion and closeout. Ensure required documentation, approvals, selections, measurements, and project information are completed before installation begins. Escalate significant project issues to senior management in a timely manner. 5. Purchasing, Materials & Inventory Control Oversee purchasing activities for kitchen remodeling projects. Coordinate procurement of cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, appliances, hardware, and other project materials. Maintain appropriate inventory levels for commonly used materials, tools, and supplies. Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or delays before they affect project schedules. Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors when authorized. Reduce material waste, unnecessary purchases, shortages, and project-related material losses. Ensure materials are ordered accurately and delivered to the appropriate project location. 6. Lowe's Relationship & Program Compliance Maintain a professional working relationship with Lowe's store management, associates, and applicable Lowe's departments. Ensure Pillars Construction follows Lowe's program requirements, policies, procedures, and service standards. Monitor department performance against applicable Lowe's KPIs and operational expectations. Address installation, customer service, scheduling, documentation, and operational issues involving Lowe's in a timely manner. Communicate important Lowe's program updates and requirements to the department team. Help identify opportunities to improve Pillars Construction's performance within the Lowe's program. 7. Quality Control & Safety Ensure remodeling projects meet Pillars Construction quality standards and applicable building requirements. Monitor installation quality and identify recurring workmanship or operational issues. Ensure employees, installers, and subcontractors follow applicable safety procedures. Promote a strong safety culture throughout the department and project operations. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed consistently. Report significant safety, quality, customer, or compliance issues to management. 8. Training & Development Develop and provide training for sales and remodeling team members. Train employees on kitchen remodeling products, installation processes, company procedures, Lowe's requirements, and customer service expectations. Coach team members on sales techniques, estimating accuracy, project coordination, and effective customer communication. Identify employee strengths and areas for improvement. Establish training plans and support continuous professional development. Maintain appropriate documentation of training and employee performance when required. 9. Financial & Operational Performance Monitor department sales, gross profit, project costs, labor, purchasing, and other key financial metrics. Work with management to establish and achieve department financial goals. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability. Monitor project performance and communicate potential financial risks. Support accurate forecasting and reporting for the Kitchen Remodeling Division. Ensure department decisions align with company financial objectives. 10. Problem Solving & Escalation Act as a primary point of escalation for complex customer, project, sales, scheduling, or operational issues. Investigate problems, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions. Address issues promptly to minimize delays, additional costs, and customer dissatisfaction. Communicate significant risks or unresolved issues to senior management. Maintain accurate documentation of significant project and customer issues.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications Proven supervisory or managerial experience in kitchen remodeling, residential construction, home improvement, retail, or a related industry . Strong knowledge of kitchen remodeling processes, products, materials, and installation practices. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop employees. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and relationship-management skills. Demonstrated negotiation, conflict-resolution, and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Ability to review estimates, project scopes, pricing, and material requirements. Ability to work effectively with customers, employees, subcontractors, vendors, and retail partners. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business/project management software. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Lowe's, Home Depot, or another national home improvement retailer . Previous experience managing a kitchen remodeling department or installation program. Experience with cabinet, countertop, flooring, appliance, plumbing, electrical, and related kitchen remodeling products. Experience managing sales and installation KPIs. Construction estimating or project management experience. Experience managing subcontractors and installation crews. Knowledge of residential remodeling permits, inspections, and applicable building requirements. Bachelor's degree, associate degree, trade certification, or equivalent industry experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires a combination of office, retail/store, customer, and active construction/project environments . The Department Supervisor may be required to: Travel between Lowe's locations, customer homes, project sites, and the company office. Attend customer meetings and project site visits. Work occasional evenings or weekends based on business and customer needs. Communicate regularly by phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and other company-approved communication platforms. Work in environments where construction activities, tools, dust, noise, and other job-site conditions may be present. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
