As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and fostering a knowledgeable team. If you are passionate about wine and have an in-depth understanding of wine varieties, regions, and food pairings, along with management experience, we would love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities:

Support Store Operations:

Assist the Store Manager in managing all day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the store, and maintaining high standards of performance.

Wine Expertise & Customer Engagement:

Use your expert knowledge of wine varieties, regions, and vintages to assist customers with informed recommendations, including wine and food pairings. Offer guidance on seasonal wine selections and trends, and help customers find wines that meet their preferences and occasions. Lead in-store tastings and educational events to promote customer engagement and build loyalty.

Customer Service Leadership:

Ensure superior customer service by fostering a welcoming atmosphere and addressing customer needs with expertise and enthusiasm.

Inventory & Stock Management:

Oversee inventory levels for wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring popular products are always available and stocked properly. Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking new products, with a particular focus on maintaining a diverse and appealing wine selection.

Sales & Promotions:

Support and execute sales strategies, in-store promotions, and wine-centric events to drive revenue and increase customer interest in our wine selection.

Cash Handling & Store Maintenance:

Ensure proper handling of cash, assist with daily sales reconciliation, and maintain an organized and clean store environment.

Qualifications:

Experience in

Wine Sales:

A minimum of 2-3 years of retail management experience, with significant experience in wine sales . Comprehensive knowledge of wine varieties, regions, vintages, and food pairings is essential. Previous experience in hosting or leading wine tastings, educational events, or similar customer engagement activities is highly preferred. Passion for

Wine:

A deep passion for wine, spirits, and beer, with the ability to inspire and educate customers and staff alike.

Customer Service:

A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and providing personalized recommendations based on customer preferences.

Communication & Organizational Skills:

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities to effectively manage store operations and customer needs.

Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have reliable transportation, since we are NOT on the bus route or light rail. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which includes working Saturday. How to
