Rising Kites Coffee is looking for a weekend Assistant Manager / Job Coach who enjoys creating a welcoming customer experience while helping individuals with disabilities develop meaningful workplace skills. Rising Kites is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that employs individuals with disabilities and provides on-the-job training to help them build the skills, confidence, and experience needed to pursue employment throughout our community. This position is perfect for someone who doesn't mind wearing two hats at once. You'll help keep the coffee shop running smoothly while also working directly with our job trainees to teach skills, provide feedback, encourage growth, and document progress toward their individual goals. What You'll Do Coffee Shop Operations Open and/or manage daily weekend coffee shop operations Make coffee and other beverages Take and process customer orders Provide excellent customer service Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment Support daily production and keep the team moving efficiently Assist staff with problem-solving and day-to-day operations Job Training & Staff Development Work alongside employees with disabilities during their shifts Provide in-the-moment coaching, encouragement, and feedback Help staff work toward individualized job goals Encourage independence and skill development Document progress and areas for continued growth Communicate with managers and job coaches about staff development

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Loves working with people and providing great customer service Is goal-oriented and organized Enjoys teaching, coaching, and encouraging others Can give constructive feedback in a positive and respectful way Is comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities at once Can stay calm and flexible in a busy environment Takes initiative and doesn't need to be told what needs to be done Has a genuine interest in helping others succeed Coffee shop or management experience is a plus, but we're more interested in the right person and attitude Schedule Weekend availability is preferred.

Monday - Friday hours:

6:00 AM-5:00 PM Saturday & Sunday hours: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM Multiple shifts are available each weekend, and we are happy to discuss a schedule that works for the right candidate. Why Rising Kites?
