Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our retail team! Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Lead and motivate sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales Supervise cashiering activities, including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and pricing accuracy Train new employees on company policies, customer service standards, POS systems, and product knowledge Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members Monitor store performance metrics, prepare reports, and assist with budgeting and operational planning Skills Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams and managing store operations Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff through training & development initiatives Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping practices Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques Sound knowledge of retail math including basic math calculations for cash handling, pricing adjustments, and inventory control Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience in grocery or retail store environments is preferred; familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous Demonstrated ability to handle phone etiquette professionally while managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously Strong managerial communication skills to lead shift management activities confidently Join us as an Assistant Store Manager where your leadership will inspire teams to succeed while delivering exceptional service!
