Responsibilities Manage the overall operations of the body shop, including workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize productivity. Supervise and mentor technicians and support staff, promoting a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. Oversee vehicle repairs from initial assessment through completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards such as auto body repair, collision repair techniques, and automotive refinishing. Utilize computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software to accurately assess repairs and communicate estimates with clients. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including PPE use, proper handling of hazardous materials like paints and auto glass, and metal fabrication safety protocols. Conduct defect root cause analysis to resolve recurring issues efficiently and improve repair processes. Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts inventory, and labor hours while managing client communication for updates or concerns. Skills Proven dealership or collision repair shop experience with comprehensive knowledge of auto body repair techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment. Expertise in vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, aluminum panel work, metal fabrication, and automotive refinishing including paints. Proficiency in auto glass installation and detailing to ensure pristine vehicle presentation. Skilled in technical proficiency with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and basic math for accurate calculations. Excellent client communication skills to explain repairs clearly and manage customer expectations professionally. Familiarity with safety regulations related to collision repair shops including PPE protocols and hazardous material handling.
