SpartanNash Associates, LLC is seeking a Produce Manager to lead daily operations of the produce department in our retail grocery environment. You will oversee ordering, merchandising, rotation, and quality control of fresh fruits and vegetables while ensuring attractive, food safe displays that drive sales and reduce shrink. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, and coaching associates, managing inventory and margins, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, and delivering excellent customer service. You will collaborate with store leadership on promotions, implement company standards, and support a people first, values driven culture focused on integrity, teamwork, and community. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the produce department, ensuring freshness, rotation, and product quality. Plan and maintain attractive, food safe produce displays to drive sales and customer satisfaction. Manage ordering, inventory levels, and shrink to achieve sales, margin, and waste targets. Schedule, train, and coach associates to deliver strong performance and excellent customer service. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards and procedures. Collaborate with store leadership on promotions, pricing, and merchandising initiatives. Monitor department KPIs and adjust labor, ordering, and merchandising strategies as needed. Resolve customer questions and concerns, providing knowledgeable assistance on produce items. Implement and uphold company policies, standards, and people first culture within the department. Support continuous improvement in department efficiency, cleanliness, and operational execution.
