This role works closely with the Store Manager to support a strong team culture, contribute to the success of the store, and uphold Elsmore's reputation for exceptional service within the swimming community. The ideal candidate is a confident, dependable leader who enjoys working with people, has a passion for swimming, and takes pride in helping customers and swim teams find the right products to meet their needs. Key Responsibilities Support daily store operations, including sales, customer service, team communication, and point-of-sale transactions. Assist with opening and closing procedures, online order fulfillment, store-to-store transfers, and inventory management. Partner with the Store Manager to recruit, train, coach, and develop team members while fostering a positive team environment. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns and resolving issues professionally. Build strong relationships with swimmers, parents, coaches, swim teams and team representatives while supporting their ongoing needs. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on competitive swim gear, apparel, and accessories. Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked store while supporting sales goals and overall store performance. Staff swim meets in the metro area and beyond - requires working approximately 20 weekends per year Qualifications 2+ years or more of retail sales, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills, with the ability to address customer concerns professionally and confidently. Ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively as part of a team. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Passion for swimming or experience with competitive swimming is a plus. Ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for extended periods. Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn.
