Job Description

Manage customer relationship, communicating with customers to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed while providing best in class service and the highest level of safety. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Manage customer relationship, communicating with customers to ensure that all of their needs are understood and addressed. Manage customer freight commitments, understanding network balance and communicate impacts to balance. Collaborate with other departments within the network to provide solutions to customers or freight coverage and service. Build relationship with customers Understand customer commitments and needs Communicate timely and provide detailed updates Be an advocate for your customer and their success within Dart. Schedule appointments to ensure utilization of driver's time, while meeting customer service commitments. Ensure appointments are updated with accurate times, pickup and delivery numbers. Work issues quickly to keep drivers moving. Understand customer expectations, communicating internally for success. Communicate service concerns to the customer and provide solutions Track loads and report and work any service issues with planning and fleet management teams Ensure loads are booked so that drivers can meet HOS requirements Understand customer procedures with haz-mat, overweight, claims, cargo, and security. Understand customer commitments and accept freight based on freight acceptance plan. Communicate any changes to customer freight flow early to ensure network changes can be made to fill gaps. Solicit freight, using freight finder when needed to fill gaps in network. Ensure that utilization and safety needs are met. Ensure customer location information is updated so that drivers have the information needed to be successful. Communicate customer requirements early and ensure loads are updated with all information. Work issues quickly to keep drivers moving. 4-year College Degree and/or previous transportation experience preferred. Working knowledge of, and proficiency with internal computer systems and programs, including but not limited to transportation management systems, spreadsheets, word documents, etc. The ability to multi-task, be detail oriented with strong written and verbal skills and can work in a fast pace environment. Effective communication and listening skills.
