Position Overview:
The Shift Leader is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the coffeehouse in partnership with the General Manager or the Assistant General Manager. The Shift Leader makes sure the team has a clear understanding of brand standards, expectations, products, cleanliness, new directives, and Guest connections during the shift. Core Responsibilities Demonstrates mastery of every Team Member responsibility with confidence, enthusiasm, and excellence
Leads shifts with an unwavering commitment to Make Fun Happen - keeping the team engaged, the energy up, and the shift on track
Optimizes product sales while effectively managing waste and maintaining an inviting, well- executed coffeehouse environment.
Knows the day's deployment and the roles tied to it, communicating clearly on the floor to keep the shift moving
Reads the needs of the team, anticipates the shift's competing priorities, and delegates objectives and tasks accordingly
Takes ownership of the current shift and sets up a smooth hand-off for the shift that follows
Ensures the team executes standard operating procedures and upholds Caribou's standards for quality, cash handling, and store safety and security
Coaches and trains the team in the moment - on role responsibilities, product knowledge, promotions, and recipe prep, including adjustments for a guest's request
Performs administrative tasks timely with integrity and follow-through, including bank deposits, inventory, and product orders
Actively develops Team Members, providing coaching and feedback in the moment

Owns the decision-making that comes with being Manager on Duty, staying resilient and calm under pressure

Trains new team members on role responsibilities, product knowledge, and promotional items
Arrives on time for every scheduled shift, prepared and ready to contribute to the team's success.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
At least 6 months of experience in a leadership role , or properly trained and approved to take on Shift Leader responsibilities
To support the needs of the business and the team, Shift Leaders are expected to maintain flexible availability. While hiring may be based on current scheduling needs, Shift Leaders may be required to work different days, times, or shifts as business and operational needs change.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred:
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Compensation Range:
$12.75 - $21.25 per hour
•Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
•Ranges reflect what employer reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for such position. The physical demands for this position are reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
