Role:

We're looking for a motivated and experienced Grocery Store Manager to oversee all aspects of instore operations at St. Paul Discount Grocery. This leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, has excellent communication skills, & the ability to manage a team. This role will also assist as needed in warehouse inventory to help streamline the flow of products from the warehouse to the store. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, day to day management of store associates, assisting in the procurement of inventory, managing the flow of inventory to the store, communicating all relevant information to team members (i.e. pricing, volume), & special project oversight.

Key Responsibilities Customer & Sales:

• Ensure every customer has a great shopping experience.
• Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
• Drive store performance through social media & in store sales.

Team Leadership:

• Assist in the hiring, training, and management of store staff.
• Manage team member schedules & communicate any issues with the General Manager.
• Daily meetings to address any issues & discuss goals for the day.

Operations & Compliance:

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Create & manage a schedule for store organization & cleaning.

Inventory & Merchandising:

• Determine merchandising strategies and promotional displays.
• Manage backroom aisle organization. Responsible for moving unwanted inventory back to RCI in a communicative & organized manner.
• Managing fresh inventories & communicating daily on store needs.
• Assisting with frozen inventory
• physically or communicating needs.
• Responsible for managing social media posts as they relate to daily/weekly specials.

Financial Oversight:

• Ensure accurate cash handling and daily deposits & verify change drawer weekly.
• Communicate any issues as they occur.

Inventory Control:

• Assist as needed in the inventory of items coming into RCI.
• Ensure products get to the store quickly with all relevant pricing information.
• Determining items to push through displays, sales, or social media based on volume & pricing.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of grocery or supermarket management experience. Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills. Comfortable with POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods. Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed to cover. Includes Saturdays during the month of December.

Pay:

$45,000.00
