SAVAGE, MN
is coming to town, and we're looking for a highly motivated Department Manager (In Ross speak we call them Area Supervisors). Ross is a 2022 Newsweek top place for Women to work and excel at. In this role you will: Oversee the day-to-day operations of an assigned department (either Hardlines or Softlines), ensuring efficient and accurate merchandising of daily receipts.
Coach / Train
and Develop Ross processes to optimize recovery efficiency. Supervise and train staff, providing guidance and support as needed ensuring they meet and/or exceed their daily goals. Monitor supply levels and place orders as necessary to maintain adequate supplies for functionality. Conduct daily "Stop and Go" audits to ensure accuracy of sizing and security tag placement. Assist with employee orientation and training. Maintain a neat, clean, organized and safe department at all times. Maintain accurate efficiency records, and use that data to develop team to improve daily. Report to Assistant Store Manager.
Experience:
Proven experience in retail management. Strong time management skills with an emphasis on efficiency and goal achievement. Excellent supervisory and team management abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Experience conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
