The Assistant Store Manager / Inventory Manager is a key leadership position within Chillwater Cannabis Shop, working directly with the president and owner to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional customer experience. The Role Chillwater Cannabis Shop is proudly on a mission to promote well-being through the power of cannabis. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of a recreational cannabis dispensary, delivering an exceptional customer experience while ensuring full compliance with state and local regulations. This position assists the Store Manager with staff leadership, sales performance, inventory control, and operational execution. Drive a customer-first culture by coaching and energizing team members to deliver exceptional service Manage LOD shifts with confidence—support the team, direct workflow, and address issues proactively Strengthen customer loyalty by training team members on engagement strategies that increase retention and repeat visits Ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints, including in-store interactions, curbside pickup, and delivery fulfillment Act as a community ambassador, supporting local events and strengthening Chillwater's presence in the neighborhood Operations Oversee all day-to-day dispensary operations to ensure full compliance with security protocols, inventory standards, and all local and state regulations Motivate and guide team members to successfully execute store programs, initiatives, and regional in-store promotions Uphold strong cash-handling procedures, including daily cash management and reconciliation Lead efficient order processing and expense-management practices that align with established store budgets Accurately and efficiently receive all inbound product shipments. Enter all incoming product into Compliance and ERP Systems. Physically move product to locations throughout the facility, including the vault, back room, and sales floor. Maintain optimal organization and cleanliness of all inventory processing and storage areas. Perform and reconcile inventory cycle counts. Perform and reconcile various inventory and compliance related audits. Ensure sales floor is consistently replenished and properly stocked. Fulfills online pick-up and delivery orders in a timely and efficient manner. Prepare for and participate in all periodic physical inventory audits, as scheduled by the company. Provide efficient written and verbal communication of inventory issues to management and the store team in a timely manner. Utilize several software packages. Consistently remains compliant with all legal and/or company regulations for the industry.
