Are you a natural leader who loves retail, enjoys organizing people and processes, and wants your work to make a real difference? Faithful Friends Animal Advocates is looking for an energetic, organized, and self-motivated Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nonprofit thrift store. Every purchase made in our store helps provide food, medical care, shelter, and second chances for homeless animals. We're looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do—someone who takes ownership, leads by example, motivates others, and continually looks for ways to improve the store and increase sales. What You'll Do As our Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of the store's daily operation, including: Leadership Lead employees and volunteers throughout the day. Assign daily tasks and manage workflow. Coach team members and maintain productivity. Ensure outstanding customer service. Resolve customer concerns professionally. Communicate daily priorities and operational updates. Store Operations Open and close the store. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shopping environment. Ensure donations move efficiently from receiving to the sales floor. Monitor inventory levels and keep merchandise stocked. Create attractive seasonal and featured displays. Merchandising & Pricing Review unique, collectible, antique, and high-value donations. Approve pricing questions. Identify items appropriate for special marketing and online promotion. Help maximize revenue through effective merchandising. Social Media Marketing Share exciting merchandise with our community by posting to Facebook throughout the day, including: Featured merchandise New arrivals Store specials Furniture and specialty items Customer engagement posts Cash Management Oversee register operations. Count and reconcile daily receipts. Prepare bank deposits. Maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Facility Management Monitor cleanliness and organization throughout the building. Keep donation receiving areas flowing efficiently. Ensure supplies are stocked. Report maintenance concerns. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: A confident leader who enjoys managing people. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Self-motivated with excellent time management skills. Comfortable making decisions independently. Positive, dependable, and professional. Customer-service focused. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Passionate about supporting animal rescue and nonprofit work. Preferred Qualifications Retail management or supervisory experience. Experience leading teams. Merchandising experience. Cash handling and deposit experience. Strong communication skills. Social media experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday. Comfortable working in a busy retail environment.
