Job DescriptionWe are seeking a professional and decisive Assistant Manager to join our team at our Mid Rivers Mall location in St. Peters. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting daily operations, leading a dedicated team, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, motivational leadership abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Supervise and mentor team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional developmentSupport store management in achieving sales targets and operational goals through effective planning and executionManage staff scheduling, time-off requests, and ensure adequate coverage to maintain service standardsOversee inventory management, stock rotation, and merchandising to maintain product availability and store presentationMonitor and maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and local requirementsAssist in training new employees during onboarding and provide ongoing skill development opportunitiesAddress customer concerns and resolve issues professionally to ensure satisfaction and loyaltyAnalyze performance metrics and reports to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiencySupport the management team with administrative tasks, documentation, and communicationMaintain a positive, professional demeanor and model company values to the teamQualificationsProven supervisory or assistant management experience in a retail or commercial environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teamsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesProficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management softwareDemonstrated customer service excellence and problem-solving capabilitiesKnowledge of inventory management and merchandising best practicesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as neededStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standardsConflict resolution and negotiation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications
