Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Body Shop Manager to lead our collision repair facility with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure top-quality vehicle repairs, and foster a safety-first environment. Your leadership will drive efficiency, uphold high standards of auto body repair, and deliver exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of the collision repair shop, including workflow, staffing, and quality control to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction. Supervise technicians and body shop staff, providing guidance on auto body repairs, auto painting, aluminum and metal fabrication, and auto restoration projects. Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and technical equipment to ensure safe and effective repair processes while adhering to safety regulations and PPE protocols. Coordinate vehicle damage estimating using computer-aided tools, ensuring accurate assessments and transparent communication with clients. Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper use of PPE, safe lifting techniques for heavy parts or vehicles, and adherence to all relevant safety regulations. Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts inventory, defect resolution root cause analysis, and repair timelines to support operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with clients regarding repair progress, estimates, and vehicle care instructions to foster trust and satisfaction. Experience Proven experience managing a collision repair or auto body shop environment with hands-on knowledge of auto painting, auto glass installation, detailing, and automotive repair processes. Dealership experience or collision shop background highly preferred for understanding industry standards and customer expectations. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software. Familiarity with automotive materials such as aluminum, paints, metals used in collision repairs, and auto refinishing techniques. Experience in defect resolution root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues efficiently during repairs. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in auto restoration projects. Excellent client communication skills to explain repair procedures clearly and build lasting customer relationships.
