Role:
As Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager in driving sales, maintaining store presentation, and ensuring a top-tier guest experience. You'll assist with inventory management, visual displays, and team development through coaching and training. Stepping in for the Store Manager when needed, you'll help lead daily operations and foster a positive, high-performing team culture. Your role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring operational success while supporting the overall goals of the store.Key Responsibilities:
Partner with the Store Manager to ensure operational excellence, creating a safe and welcoming environment for both the team and guests. Step up as acting manager when needed, leading with confidence. Play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and coaching a high-performing team. Set the standard for exceptional guest service, providing ongoing feedback to help team members thrive. Collaborate to drive sales and rental revenue, fostering a guest-first culture. Engage with customers confidently, ensuring your team delivers memorable, outstanding experiences. Support the monitoring of expenses, manage staff scheduling within budget, and ensure adherence to company policies (cash handling, safety, and loss prevention). Maintain precise paperwork and reports. Assist with inventory control, visual merchandising, and creating eye-catching displays that align with brand standards. Ensure inventory goals are consistently met or exceeded. Serve as a key communicator, ensuring clear and consistent messaging between the Store Manager and the team. Foster alignment with company values and objectives. Keep the store spotless, organized, and on-brand at all times, upholding our high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Stay on top of the latest products and trends, sharing your passion and knowledge with both the team and guests. Take on special projects and contribute to other tasks as needed, always supporting the Store Manager and overall store success. For Bozeman candidates: safely drive the company van to transport employees (valid driver's license + MVR check required)Who You Are:
You have a high school diploma (or equivalent). You bring at least one year of retail experience, ideally snow sports. Previous rental shop experience is a plus. You've led teams (minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity), and you're enthusiastic about coaching and developing others. You are comfortable with Microsoft Office and retail POS systems (or a fast learner). Exceptional communicator in English, both written and spoken. Self-motivated, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Physically able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 25 pounds.
