A Retail Associate Manager assists the manager at a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. Supervises sales associates and retail store operations. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. May prepare work schedules and hire, train and evaluate sales associates. May supervise warehouse, cleaning, maintenance or security staff. Assists with resolving customer complaints.

As an Assistant Store Manager at North 40, you will be responsible for the customer experience and will ensure we exceed expectations. In order to succeed in the position, you will need to be an enthusiastic person who can optimistically handle a challenging and fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a sales team of 20+ employeesDrive sales performance and execute business goalsSupport hiring, training, scheduling, and performance managementOversee daily store operations, including opening and closing routinesManage freight flow, inventory, merchandising, and replenishmentEnsure store safety, security, and operational complianceDeliver exceptional customer service and guest satisfactionPartner with the Store Manager to drive results and continuously improve store performanceThis full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. As this is a managerial position it is not uncommon to work 50+ hours a week. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.
QualificationsPrevious retail management or leadership experience requiredExperience leading and developing large teamsStrong communication, coaching, and decision-making skillsProven accountability for team performance and resultsAbility to multitask and lead in a fast-paced retail environmentExperience with merchandising, inventory management, and sales leadership preferredFarm & ranch, outdoor recreation, hardware, or animal health knowledge is a plusForklift certification or ability to obtain required certifications preferredAdditional Information
