Job Description

Job Summary Meat Department Manager to lead our meat department. Duties are to oversee daily operations, manage the meat department, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Your leadership will drive sales growth, optimize inventory control, and foster a positive shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the meat department team, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback. Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, merchandising, and rotating products to minimize waste and maximize sales. Oversee all aspects of store operations within the department, including purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management to meet financial targets. Ensure compliance with safety standards, health regulations, and quality control procedures to guarantee product freshness and customer safety. Deliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for shoppers. Manage shift schedules, monitor employee performance during shifts, and ensure smooth daily operations across the department. Requirements Must know how to cut meat for retail sale. Strong knowledge of retail industry sales techniques along with expertise in inventory control, merchandising, and pricing strategies. Knowledge of safety protocols related to food handling standards as well as health regulations governing meat departments.
Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
