Job Description
Gaston Sealey Company is seeking a motivated Service Department Coordinator to help build a new service department focused on the service of on-farm equipment such as grain bins, dryers and augers. We are looking for someone to help build something new from scratch, working alongside us. We would like to begin offering services such as such as grain dryer repairs, pre-season inspections, and small installation projects. This is a foundational role for someone who wants to learn the business from the inside out—working closely with our Owners, Parts Department, Warehouse, and Sales Team to understand how each function operates and connects—before helping design and launch a service operation that fits our customers' needs. Key Responsibilities Spend time learning with the Parts Department, Warehouse, and Sales Team to learn workflows, systems, and how each department supports the others Document current processes and identify gaps or opportunities where a dedicated service department could add value Help design service department workflows for grain dryer repairs and pre-season inspections Coordinate communication between Parts, Warehouse, and Sales to ensure smooth handoffs as service offerings are introduced Build relationships with customers to understand service needs and seasonal demand patterns Support the eventual expansion into installation project services, including planning and coordination Track progress, gather feedback, and report findings to leadership as the department takes shape Qualifications Strong interest in agricultural equipment, grain handling systems, or related mechanical fields Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across departments Comfortable learning in a hands-on, evolving role with room to shape processes Prior experience in parts, warehouse, service, or sales within an ag equipment or industrial setting is a plus, but not required Willingness to travel locally for customer site visits and inspections as the role develops Join us in delivering exceptional service by coordinating vital operations that keep our automotive service department running smoothly! We value energetic professionals eager to grow their careers while making a positive impact on our customers' experiences.
