IT Manager - On Site Hickory, North Carolina (NC) Full Time 1st Shift Company Description Performance Foodservice, PFG's broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers — providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams. Job Description Directs and coordinates development and production activities of information systems department. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables. Interacts with customers, members, vendors, other outside companies, associates, and management Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty to best serve the company. The IT Manager position will perform the following duties: Supervises associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution. Consults with managerial and systems analysis personnel to identify opportunities, suggest changes and determine solutions to meet organizational needs. Research and evaluate new and existing technology that may need to be implemented. Confers with management to evaluate, promote and improve services. Ensures all company policy objectives are met and coaches/assists users in the organization to provide all necessary support. Maintain strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards. Understand the financial implication of all management decisions and meet budget expectations. Use strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems through analytical reasoning. Maximize the performance of both people and equipment. Manage multiple priorities and ongoing projects. Performs other related duties as assigned.
