Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant General Manager who is ready to grow their career. You'll be joining a successful franchise group with more than 120 locations—and we're continuing to grow! The Assistant General Manager helps oversee daily store operations alongside the General Manager. This position plays an important role in leading the team, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining operational standards, and controlling food and labor costs. The ideal candidate leads by example, works with integrity, and brings an enthusiastic, friendly, and positive attitude to every shift.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week Flexible availability, including opening, closing, and weekend shifts Ability to close at least two nights per week and work one mid-shift until 7:00 p.m. Ability to work overtime when additional store coverage is needed Reliable transportation Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to establish priorities with minimal supervision Willingness to accept feedback and continue developing professionally Previous restaurant or leadership experience is preferred
Responsibilities:
Assist the General Manager with day-to-day store operations Provide excellent customer service with a goal of 100% customer satisfaction Lead by example and consistently enforce operational, customer service, and uniform standards Build trust with employees and create a positive atmosphere of teamwork Help train, coach, and develop employees Ensure all opening, closing, shift, and cleaning checklists are completed Assist with food preparation planning and reducing food waste Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant Assist with scheduling, inventory, and supplier orders Monitor labor costs and make adjustments to help achieve store goals Help find coverage for callouts and cover shifts when needed Follow all cash-handling procedures, including deposits and daily cash logs Assume General Manager responsibilities during vacations or when the General Manager is assisting another location Complete all required training and certifications
Compensation:
The listed pay range includes base hourly pay plus estimated credit card tips. Credit card tips typically add approximately $3-$4 per hour but are variable and not guaranteed. Assistant General Managers may also earn a bonus every four weeks by helping the store achieve its food and labor cost goals.
Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour
