Job Description

Core Coffee Supervisor (Barista Lead) Core Coffee is a central part of the Carolina Core Professional Center experience, delivering high-quality service and a welcoming, community-driven environment. The Coffee Shop Supervisor serves as the barista lead and is responsible for reinforcing daily standards, providing direction during shifts, and ensuring all baristas execute at a high level. This role works alongside the team while maintaining responsibility for shift execution, training consistency, and operational discipline. This position plays a key role in ensuring the coffee shop team consistently lives out CCPC Core Values through strong leadership, accountability, and execution. The Supervisor works in close alignment with the Coffee Shop Manager and leadership team to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain a professional, polished environment. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances working shifts with maintaining standards across the team. Core Responsibilities Shift Leadership & Execution
  • Take ownership of shift execution, ensuring all responsibilities, tasks, and standards are completed without gaps
  • Provide direction to baristas during shifts to ensure efficiency, clarity, and alignment
  • Ensure all opening, mid-shift, and closing responsibilities are completed to standard
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked environment throughout each shift
  • Step in to resolve operational issues in real time to maintain flow and service quality Team Leadership & Accountability
  • Serve as the lead barista and role model, setting the standard for performance, professionalism, and customer interaction
  • Ensure all baristas consistently meet expectations for service, cleanliness, and execution
  • Provide real-time coaching and correction to baristas during shifts to ensure adherence to standards
  • Address performance gaps immediately and escalate to the Manager when necessary
  • Reinforce expectations through clear communication and consistent accountability Training & Development
  • Ensure all new baristas are properly trained and meet established standards before operating independently
  • Reinforce training standards for drink quality, customer interaction, and operational procedures
  • Identify performance gaps and communicate training needs to the Manager
  • Support ongoing development of team members to improve consistency and confidence CCPC Core Values & Customer Experience
  • Ensure all baristas consistently demonstrate CCPC Core Values through behavior, communication, and customer interactions
  • Lead by example in delivering Next-Level Hospitality and Excellence in Execution
  • Maintain a welcoming, professional, and consistent customer experience at all times
  • Address any misalignment with Core Values immediately and appropriately Inventory & Operational Discipline
  • Execute inventory processes including counts, organization, and restocking accuracy
  • Ensure proper product handling, storage, rotation, and cleanliness standards are followed
  • Monitor product quality and consistency, including drink preparation and food standards
  • Identify inventory discrepancies, waste, or low stock and communicate to the Manager
  • Maintain organization of storage areas and ensure the coffee shop is consistently prepared for service Social Media & Brand Execution
  • Execute social media content in alignment with direction from the Manager
  • Capture content that reflects the Core Coffee brand and customer experience
  • Ensure consistency and quality in all social media contributions Operational Alignment & Communication
  • Maintain close alignment with the Coffee Shop Manager on priorities, expectations, and performance
  • Communicate clearly and proactively regarding team performance, operational issues, and inventory needs
  • Escalate issues that fall outside of scope or require additional support Leadership Expectations

  • Shift Based Role with open availability 7 days a week
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
