Job Description

Key Duties & Responsibilities Department Leadership:
Manage the Produce Department, including hiring, training, and developing associates; supervise performance, provide ongoing training, and conduct performance appraisals Linkedin.
Operational Oversight:
Daily labor management (expected live), coaching associates to meet productivity goals, and ensuring schedules provide exceptional customer service Linkedin.
Sales & Financial Goals:
Support budgeted financial and operating results; role model friendly, customer-focused service and use product knowledge to meet or exceed customer expectations Linkedin.
Expense Control:
Manage ordering, supplies, and equipment; control costs through proper ordering and maintenance Linkedin.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; report accidents promptly Linkedin.
Inventory & Loss Prevention:
Monitor shrink, ensure accurate inventory records, and coach associates to prevent losses Linkedin.
Merchandising & Promotions:
Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and display of produce; use advertising and signage effectively Linkedin.
Tools & Systems:
Utilize company systems such as ACIS (Average Cost Inventory System), CAO (Customer Acquisition Order), scheduling, productivity, and business information systems Linkedin.
Recognition & Coaching:
Recognize accomplishments, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive, high-performance culture Linkedin.
Qualifications Education:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred Linkedin.
Skills:
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills; ability to manage labor, budgets, and inventory; knowledge of food safety and retail operations Linkedin.
Experience:
Experience in produce or retail management, customer service, and inventory control is preferred SimplyHired+1.
Pay:
$16.00 - $24.00 per hour
