Join our growing, locally owned company! Outer Banks Olive Oil is looking for a full-time, year-round Store Manager to lead our Nags Head location. This isn't just an olive oil store—we offer premium olive oils and balsamic vinegars, specialty foods, artisan cheeses, wine, craft beer, cigars, a coffee bar, and daily tastings that create a memorable experience for our customers. We're looking for a motivated, sales-driven leader who enjoys building teams, developing people, and creating an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has experience in retail operations, inventory management, merchandising, and how to inspire a positive, high-performing culture. Recruit, train, coach, and develop a strong, customer-focused team. Foster a supportive, positive, and accountable team culture where employees enjoy coming to work. Deliver an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, product knowledge, and hospitality. Manage inventory, receiving, pricing, product transfers, and ordering to maintain proper stock levels. Oversee merchandising and create attractive product displays that inspire customers. Monitor sales performance and coach the team to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Coordinate and participate in olive oil, balsamic, wine, cheese, and specialty food tastings. Support the coffee bar operation and ensure quality standards are maintained. Develop local partnerships, events, and promotions to increase brand awareness and drive traffic. Help introduce new products and merchandising ideas based on customer trends. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. Handle store deposits, reporting, and other operational responsibilities. Occasionally assist with deliveries or transfers between company locations. Qualifications Previous retail management experience required. Experience with specialty food, gourmet retail, wine, beer, coffee, or hospitality is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of inventory management, receiving, ordering, and merchandising. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a successful team. Passion for food, cooking, entertaining, and creating memorable customer experiences. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Sales-oriented with a track record of achieving goals. Self-motivated with the ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
