Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through legendary customer service. Achieve sales and profit goals established for the grocery department. Supervise all aspects of the grocery department, including center store, frozen, dairy, and non-foods.
Essential Job Functions Team Leadership:
Promote trust and respect among associates by communicating company, department, and job-specific information. Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve store goals.
Scheduling:
Maintain a flexible working schedule that meets customer needs and aligns with peak shopping hours.
Product Knowledge:
Display deep product knowledge of center-store categories, including dry grocery, dairy, frozen, and specialty/organic items.
Merchandising & Freshness:
Maintain quality, freshness, and proper rotation (FIFO) of products while following all food safety, stocking, and cleanliness requirements. Ensure attractive endcaps and seasonal displays.
Ordering & Inventory Management:
Place accurate daily and seasonal orders to support holidays, events, and ad cycles. Manage inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks while reducing shrink/shrinkage.
Financial Oversight:
Manage the pricing, margin control, and gross profit percentage of the grocery department.
Inventory Control:
Lead and perform regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate book inventory. Minimum Position Qualifications Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of basic math for ordering, inventory, and margin calculations. Ability to handle stressful situations and multi-task in a high-volume retail environment. Grocery, Retail, or Big-Box Management experience. Knowledge of food safety, OSHA, and general retail safety guidelines.
Compensation:
Pay will be based on experience.
