Position Summary The Lead Cannabis Advisor supports daily retail operations while providing leadership and guidance to Cannabis Advisors. This position serves as a floor leader, helps maintain compliance and service standards, assists with opening and closing procedures, and supports management with training and day-to-day store operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, product knowledge and regulatory compliance. Provide floor leadership and support appropriate staff coverage and workflow during assigned shifts. Coach, train and support Cannabis Advisors, including newly hired team members. Assist management with shift supervision and daily retail operations. Support opening and closing procedures as assigned. Monitor compliance with identification verification, transaction, cash-handling and inventory procedures. Ensure accurate use of Sweed POS and Metrc as required by role responsibilities. Respond to customer concerns and escalated situations professionally and involve management when appropriate. Help maintain product knowledge and identify training opportunities for the team. Support merchandising, replenishment, inventory counts and store organization. Communicate shift notes, operational issues and follow-up items to management. Promote a respectful, accountable and team-oriented workplace. Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older. Minimum 2 years of cannabis retail, retail, hospitality or customer-service experience. At least 1 year of lead, supervisor or shift-lead experience preferred. Must satisfy all background check and regulatory requirements applicable to the position. Strong communication, coaching and problem-solving skills. Strong working knowledge of cannabis products or demonstrated ability to develop advanced product knowledge. Ability to maintain professionalism and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as scheduled. Preferred Qualifications Previous cannabis dispensary leadership experience. Experience with Sweed POS and/or Metrc. Familiarity with New Jersey cannabis compliance requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
