This is an active floor-leadership position, not a back-office management role. You will serve as Manager on Duty, lead and coach employees, support sales performance, oversee daily operational and inventory processes, and help ensure the store runs effectively when ownership is not present. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, holds people accountable, solves problems, and leads by example. Cannabis experience is preferred, but we welcome experienced retail supervisors, key holders, shift leaders, and assistant managers who are ready for greater responsibility. Responsibilities Lead daily store operations and serve as Manager on Duty. Open and close the dispensary independently. Direct employees, assign daily responsibilities, and ensure completion. Coach budtenders on sales, customer service, product knowledge, and performance. Monitor sales KPIs, including sales, average order value, and units per transaction. Maintain an active presence on the sales floor and assist customers. Handle routine customer and employee escalations. Support scheduling, training, onboarding, and employee development. Oversee inventory counts, receiving, reconciliation, and discrepancy follow-up. Ensure proper POS, cash-handling, inventory, and operational procedures are followed. Maintain compliance with New Jersey cannabis regulations and company policies. Ensure the store remains clean, organized, professional, and customer-ready. Qualifications 2+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer-facing experience preferred. 1+ year of leadership experience as a supervisor, key holder, shift lead, assistant manager, or similar role preferred. Experience coaching or directing employees. Experience with sales goals/KPIs, cash handling, and inventory. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced retail environment. Cannabis retail experience preferred but not required. Must meet all requirements for employment at a licensed New Jersey cannabis business. Schedule This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with flexible scheduling based on business needs.
