Weekend Manager of Retail Operations Organization Description:
A comprehensive mental health and social service organization dedicated to strengthening the social and emotional well-being of individuals and families through accessible, affordable counseling and social service programs.
Position Overview:
The Weekend Manager of Retail Operations supports the Director of Retail Operations in the day-to-day management of The Shop. This hands-on role includes supervising volunteers, managing donation intake, cashiering, pricing and staging merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. Physical labor is required (must be able to lift 25 lbs.). This position has no direct reports. This is a part-time position with opportunities to grow into a full-time role.

Monday-Wednesday 3-8PM and Sunday 11-4

Exempt Key Responsibilities Store Operations
  • Manage opening and closing procedures in accordance with security and operational protocols.
  • Ensure stores are clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Implement and manage the Point of Sale (POS) system; assist Director with developing online sales channels.
  • Monitor store performance metrics including sales, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover.
  • Plan and coordinate promotional events and sales to increase store traffic and revenue. Inventory Management
  • Oversee receiving, sorting, pricing, and display of donated goods.
  • Coordinate a steady flow of high-quality donations and manage inventory levels.
  • Assist with implementing strategies for inventory control and waste reduction. Financial Management
  • Oversee financial operations in the absence of the Director, including cash handling and deposit procedures.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense control, and maintaining accurate financial records. Volunteers & Staff
  • Assist with hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating volunteers, and developing and implementing policies.
  • Develop volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all business hours.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment. Customer Service & Compliance
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction; address complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and organizational standards, and mitigate risk with program implementation.
  • Support the Director in monitoring performance and preparing reports. Qualifications
  • High school diploma required.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish required.
  • Prior retail or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Clover POS, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
