Job Description

A leading client is seeking a Department Administrator for the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. This is a temporary position for 6 months. After 6 months there will be a review of the department needs and the position may get extended or posted for a permanent hire.

Hours:
Monday through Friday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
Location:
Piscataway NJ Pay rate: $29/hr Duties include but not limited to; ECE Department Support such as requisitions for lab equipment, supplies. Maintain parts stock room, equipment inventory, keys and swipe access. Work with Federal Work Study staff members, and monitor progress. Assist with the training of Teaching Assistants (TAs) in the instructional labs. Prepare experimental setups and supplies for teaching lab experiments. Maintain the teaching laboratory probe kits, soldering kits, and part bins. Facilities Coordination- coordinate lab safety training, laboratory audits, Right-to-Know Law. Public Events Coordination - such as Engineering open houses, tours and events. Assist with poster printing service for events. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Must be able to work in an ECE lab and/or Physics lab. Detail oriented, organized, fast learner and proactive. Ability to guide students and work with a large student group, juggle around multiple student demands in the lab and maintain other administrative duties. Strong communication skills.
Pay Details:
