Assistant Store Manager
Job Description
Position Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the location's operations, including customer experience, staff management, event execution, facility maintenance, sales growth, and adherence to franchise standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and creating memorable experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management Oversee daily store operations and ensure smooth execution of all guest experiences. Open and close the facility according to company procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Ensure all VR equipment, computers, and gaming systems are functioning properly. Coordinate with franchise support and vendors regarding operational issues. Guest Experience Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive atmosphere for guests. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Monitor guest satisfaction and implement improvements where needed. Ensure all guests receive proper safety instructions and game briefings. Technical Experience Experience with computers and willing to learn new gaming platform. Calibrate and recalibrate games based on training received. Troubleshoot and help customers during game play based on training received. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise team members. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture. Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development. Manage employee scheduling to align with business needs. Sales & Business Development Drive revenue through memberships, events, birthday parties, corporate bookings, and group experiences. Build relationships with local schools, organizations, businesses, and community groups. Assist with local marketing initiatives and promotional events. Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies to achieve sales goals. Financial Management Manage labor costs and operating expenses. Oversee cash handling procedures and daily reconciliations. Review sales reports and operational metrics. Assist ownership with budgeting and forecasting. Event & Party Management Coordinate birthday parties, corporate events, and private bookings. Ensure event guests receive an outstanding experience. Work closely with event hosts and staff to execute events efficiently. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and franchise operating standards. Maintain incident logs and address safety concerns promptly. Ensure staff follow operational and customer service protocols. QualificationsRequired 2+ years of management or supervisory experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, recreation, fitness, family entertainment centers, or a related field. Strong customer service and leadership skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Comfortable using technology and learning new systems. Preferred Experience managing entertainment venues, escape rooms, arcades, family entertainment centers, fitness studios, or similar businesses. Experience with event planning or group bookings. Interest in gaming, virtual reality, technology, or immersive entertainment. Experience hiring and training staff. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to assist with equipment setup and facility operations as needed. Why Join Us?
