Responsibilities Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management. Supervise and motivate retail staff to achieve sales goals while maintaining high levels of customer service. Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize product availability and presentation. Lead employee orientation, training & development initiatives, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled and engaged team. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors. Coordinate purchasing activities, manage payroll records, bookkeeping tasks, and assist with budgeting efforts. Support shift management duties by scheduling staff, monitoring sales performance, and ensuring operational standards are met. Requirements Proven experience in retail store management or assistant manager roles within the retail or grocery industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for inventory management, merchandising, and operational procedures. Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, basic math skills, and retail math for accurate transactions and reporting. Demonstrated ability in negotiation, recruiting, interviewing, training & development, and employee orientation. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively. Knowledge of retail industry sales team management experience along with supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
